Crutches stifle growth and pull us down into the realm of mediocrity.
The wigs, the weave, the makeup help us to create a fantasy, but they do not help to create self-worth. That comes from within.
Relying heavily on external treatments to disguise character flaws, distract from showing diseases or distance oneself from being associated with poverty will only get you so far.
The work will always be where the heart is. The stability and relevance you seek is incapsulated within your perception of your reality.
Perception is how truth is interpreted, and truth itself is only an interpretation of a momentary observation.
Truth is constantly moving, changing, being altered deliberately or circumstantially.
Beauty is not a cure for low self-esteem. What cures low self-esteem is self-acceptance not the shifting of the outer shell.
Why?
Because there will always be something wrong with you. There's never going to be a time in your life where you'll feel that there's nothing to fix or improve upon.
So acceptance is the path to mental stability and appreciation for this moment that you are alive reading my words.
Fight mediocrity by vowing to let go of your mimicry of other women.
Carve your own path.
Crave individuality and separateness, for this is the only way you'll stand out and make a mark in this world.
