Why Are You So Afraid

The reality we know is the reality created for us to believe in. How are our beliefs formed and stabilized?

Through repetition.

Over and over again, we are told what to fear, what to love and what to think of ourselves.

Actors=Politicians=Teachers=Parents=Friends all have had a hand in forming what we now know as our personality.

When you look at the history of religion, you’ll see tremendous amounts of killing and bloodshed to propagate the word of God. You’ll see bribery, human sacrifice, rape and thievery at the hands of those who have self ordained themselves as the intercessors of God’s word.

We are indoctrinated from very young to be emotionally dependent upon those who feed and shelter us, from those you compliment and have sex with us, from those who possess more beauty than us…

And after being hammered into submission since you were in pampers, you now have to relearn how to think for yourself .

Tropes abound.

Exercises in meditation and silence are now a novelty idea and a recommendation by all the top gurus as a way to reconnect with your inner child and your authentic voice.

None of which was necessary when you dreamed as a child. It was easy to focus when you were younger.

You only had a few things you desired as a youngling, but you possessed a strong ability to focus (unapologetically so) on exactly what you wanted.

Now, you are an adult who is embarrassed about admitting what you desire. You feel like a greedy fool for exploring luxuries and creature comforts.

This is what we must repair within ourselves..

Stop the self flagellation.

Stop the martyrdom.

Stop being a poster child for suffering and lack.

You need to explore your mind without the limits that fear and religion have placed upon your mind.

We make sense out of killing people who do not accept Jesus as lord and savior but feel guilt and shame for wanting to be well compensated for servitude?

Make it make sense!!!!
