Worry Is A Parasite

I want us to not worry so much. We worry about how we look, our health, our family, our men. We worry about getting pregnant. We worry about catching a venereal disease. We about getting old. We worry about getting married. We worry about getting divorced. We worry about our children. We worry about our parents.

It's like you are born to just worry about every damn thing! I say simplify your existence. Don't fight with life.

Stop trying to put out fires everywhere. There's no need for you to be the bigger person and suffer to maintain relationships with people who show that they don't care.

Some women have to let go of their parents. Some people have to let go of their friends. Some of us have let go of our own children in order to maintain peace and safety. It's these obligations that make us suffer. Obligations confine us.

We are reduced to going along to get along and end up being the only ones willing to lose in order to salvage a relationship. That's not right! It's not justice. It's not liberty! All our lives will end one day.

So we don't have all this time in the world like people want us to believe. But people want us to waste time dreaming of and waiting for a better day.

They want you to wait till Christmas so they can invite you over for a high salt, high fat dinner and give you some janky gift you don't need in order to suck you back into hoping that they really love you. What a waste..

So how do we reduce our worries? By reducing our expectations. Desire creates expectations and expectations increase the odds of disappointment.

What can you control?

What you put in your mouth. What you put in your vagina. What you put on your body. What you read. What you listen to. What you say. What you study. What you practice. What you spend money on. What you give away. What you say yes to. What you say no to. What you believe in. You have a lot of activities that you can control. And the things you can control shouldn't worry you. Focus on those.

Pour your heart into what you can control and let the chips fall where they may for the rest. "The Ugly Girls Ambassador" ~Salkis Re
